Delete your account
You can permanently delete your DropStreak account and the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it — the in-app path is fastest and self-service; the email path is the fallback for anyone who can't reach the in-app option.
Option 1 — Delete in-app (recommended)
- Open the DropStreak app and sign in if you aren't already.
- Tap the Account tab in the bottom navigation.
- At the top of the screen, find the trainer card — your name + tier + readiness toolkit.
- Inside that card, just above Sign out, tap the red Delete account row.
- Read the warning, then hold the red "Hold to delete" button for three seconds. The bar fills as you hold; release before it completes to cancel.
- You'll be signed out and redirected to the Browse screen. Your account and its data are gone immediately — no further confirmation, no recovery window.
If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it from your phone's store settings before deleting the account (see the section below). Deletion does not stop billing — Apple and Google manage that separately.
Option 2 — Email request (fallback)
If you can't access the in-app option (lost device, uninstalled the app, signed-in identifier mismatch), email us:
Email: privacy@dropstreak.app
Subject: Account deletion request
Send the email from the address tied to your account — that's how we verify the request. If you signed in with Apple's Hide My Email relay, send from the relay address; it still routes back to you.
We'll confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (user ID, email, name if your sign-in provider gave us one).
- Your Catching list (the products you've tagged).
- Any push-notification tokens linked to your account.
- Any feedback reports you've submitted that contain your user ID.
- Subscription metadata held by DropStreak (RevenueCat-side records follow their own retention policy; Apple/Google billing records are governed by store policy and are not under our control).
What may be retained
- Anonymized crash logs in Sentry — once your user ID is detached, the surviving crash data cannot be linked back to you. Sentry's free-tier retention is typically 30 days, after which it is purged automatically.
- Backend access logs (timestamps, URLs, status codes) — operational, no personal data attached, retained briefly for incident response.
- Apple / Google sign-in identifiers at the provider — Apple and Google maintain their own records of the sign-in itself, governed by their respective privacy policies. You can revoke Apple's record at appleid.apple.com and Google's at myaccount.google.com.
If you also want to cancel a Pro subscription
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel it first via:
- iOS: Settings → Your name → Subscriptions → DropStreak → Cancel
- Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DropStreak → Cancel
Once the subscription has ended, you can request account deletion as described above.
